FARNHAMVILLE, Iowa — An investigation into the death of a 17-year-old girl is underway in the small Calhoun County town of Farnhamville Monday and officials say a suspect is in custody in connection with the case.
Don Schnitker, Assistant Director of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation’s Field Operation Bureau, told WHO 13 that the DCI is assisting the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation. He said the body of the victim had been located.
Schnitker said the investigation stems from a missing person case reported Sunday.
Officials have not released the name of the victim or the suspect.
More information about the case is expected to be released later Monday.
